Hello everyone, I’m Graziano, the mind behind Blogging CSS. I mostly blog about CSS and web design, but I do enjoy graphics as well and have a soft spot for typography. For this guest post on PV.M Garage (thanks Piervix for having me here again, by the way) I’ve collected 25 free blocky fonts that are ideal for logo and poster design.
I’ve looked into this type of fonts back when I published my blog because I used one for my old logo, and I’ve always wanted to find more ever since because I think they’re so cool! So check my selection out, you might just find the font you were looking for your next graphic design project!

I think you just proved something interesting with the images in this post: these fonts are definitely not useful if you actually want to be able to read the words. Abstract or simple poster designs maybe. logos? I’m thinking no.
While I do think that these fonts are all nicely done, I had a hard time reading some of them. I don’t think they are perfect for logos either. Thanks for sharing though. :)

@preston and @uprinting – Legibility sure is an issue with this kind of fonts, although some of them like Exus Pilot or Val look perfectly legible to me.
I also think they can work fine for logos – of course, it depends on what logo you are creating. They won’t fit for any logo project but that’s true of every font. My thought is a logo isn’t so much about being legible as it is about being memorable and having a strong personality, and to me these fonts are great under these regards.
