As human we live in a particular condition: we are slaves of our passions. Is it a trouble for us? Absolutely not! We like this slavery and we love our passions. I’m italian, maybe too italian. I eat spaghetti and pizza, I drink espresso and “any given sunday” my muscles and my brain work for the football (soccer), nothing else. I also love other sports, like basket (so spectacular), rugby (so hard), football (so american), formula 1 (so fast)… and daily I follow my champions on the web, for this reason I will not tell you about best practices but what I claim browsing and reading a sport site.

First of all an impressive impact. I’m a fan, please, give me images, pictures, figures, colors, videos. I want to see my heroes and their deeds.
Many websites use featured content area with slider effects and large images to say “Welcome Dear Visitor” and I absolutely love this approach. A sport website should tell, show, and often images help this kinf of direct communication.

I want to share my passion and it is a good thing to interact with a closed community focalized on the subject of the site. I need to share my opinions about the team (or about the product or, however, about the topic).

I need a direct connection with my heroes; planned on-line chat, forum, official contacts, anything, but I would feel part of the team.

I would not wait to see my champions!
